It is with great excitement that I can announce the EU tour of the newly released UM Mest Jet Black, offered by Unique Melody. Big thanks to @UniqueMelody. I also take this opportunity to thank Pierre @Delacaff from Headonist.fr for acting as a negociator/relay point with Unique Melody and in general for vouching for me.
A new set is on its way to Headonist, from where I will pick it up and the tour will then officially start. I have agreed with UM to return the set at the end of the tour, so let's try to keep it in its best shape.
The plan is to run the tour within the EU, at least in the beginning. We will see what UM decides to do afterwards, a prolongation of the tour on Audiogeek is one of the possibilities. We will try to devise a strategy for countries that are not in the EU.
In order to minimise delays, I will try to group people from the same country together.
Please read the second post and if you agree with the terms, you are welcome to apply by stating the country you are in.
It would help if you share the city as well, either on the thread or by PM to me.
A list will be published and updated regulary, so check back from time to time to see the progress.
The following are rules and expectations for anyone who will be taking part in the UM Mest Jet Black EU Tour.
Please only register your interest if you agree to the following rules. The rules should be familiar, since they have been applied to many other tours before.
- Personal Data- You will also be required to share your email address, phone number and address with the person shipping the tour kit to you.
- You must have an established and active account on Head-Fi. Newly created accounts or accounts that have been dormant will not be accepted onto the tour.
- You must look after the IEMs while they are in your care. This is an expensive set which should be treated with respect and care while it is in your possessions and when you are preparing it for shipping. Tour participants have a responsibility to ensure that the set remains free of any damage and reaches the next participant in the condition it was provided to them.
- Tour participants will cover the cost of shipping to the next person. Each participant will cover the cost of shipping and ensure that it is tracked and requires a signature on delivery to confirm receipt. Insured shipping is highly recommended.
- Impressions. Impressions of the set will be apprieciated to be shared in the official UM Mest Jet Black thread. After you have had your time with the set, please share your thoughts on the set in a timely manner.
- Communication. This is absolutely key for the tour to run well and to avoid frustrations for others who are waiting. There is an expectation that you respond to communications about the Tour in a timely manner. If it is the case that you will be away, would like to drop out or you know you will be too busy etc when it is your turn to receive the tour kit, please contact me and we will deal with this.
- If you are contacted about the tour and do not reply within 24hrs, we will move to the next person on the list and you will need to contact me about getting added back at a later date.
For any issues with any of this during the tour, please PM me to discuss.
Tour Process
- Once I have shipped the tour kit to the first participant, they will have 7 days with it after receipt.
- Once you receive the kit, you need to confirm via PM to me that you have received the kit and it is in good condition.
- On Day 4, please send me a PM and I will confirm who you are shipping to next.
- On Day 6, you need to ship the tour kit to the next participant
- Please share the tracking details with the recipient and me once it is shipped.
- Should there be any issues with the shipping, it is your responsibility to follow up with the carrier and resolve them.
We want this to run as smoothly as possible for everyone and for it to be a successful tour. This requires everyone to communicate well and stick to the timelines. Everyone, including you, will be eager to receive the kit on time, so please remember this when it is your turn.
