Audioengine A5+ vs Ruark MR1... looking for opinions.

The Ruark's have extra features like bluetooth, but I wonder if the diminutive size holds them back? I actually listened to them today at John lewis, but could hardly tell a damn thing because the store was so loud already and I didn't want to blast my own music full volume. If anything they felt a bit lacking, but again... the volume was at 40% on my iphone.
Any brit's got the Ruark's?
