Yesterday I received my new Zen Micro because my old one was sent back for defects. When I took out my new player everything seemed fine. It had none of the defects of my last player.

But then I noticed something. When the light in my room hit the screen of my player in the right way, I noticed that there were some kinds of scratches or cracks underneath the top layer of glass on the player.

There was no way that these scratches could have been caused by me. All I did was take the player out of the box and charge it.

So now I am going to return my player again, but I don't know if I should get a replacement or just get a refund and try something new. Any suggestions on a new player? I still might try my luck with a third micro.

Eh, I don't really like the Carbon or the Ipod Mini. I love the Zen Micro but I just want one that is perfect!

Ahh... It's not the player. It must be how it was shipped or something. Must have been quite rough on it during shipping process.

That sucks. You know, just try again. I am mr. picky, so i would return it too. I am STILL waiting for one PERFECT zen micro, but it almost seems impossible.

do your self the biggest favor you've done in weeks and buy from newegg. millions of people buy from the with no problems whatsoever. they pack their shipments with lots of material/styrafoam puffs and ship via fedex quickly. and their prices are at the bottom end of what you can buy online. if you or your parents are worried about it being a credible site just ask the people around here, they'll verify it too. also if that doesnt do it they are the highest rated site with more than a thousand reviews on resellerreview.com http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2121.html . good luck..... again

from my experience, my reply to that is "bwaaaaaaahahahahahhahaha". I purchsed an OEM CPU from them this summer, first time it came in a FedEx "medium" box, with a piece of bubble wrap just throw in. The chip had come out of the packaging, and slid around in the box during shipping. Bent pins, and unusable. I sent it back, they sent me another. Same thing. Third time I insisted they enclose a note to package it better and actually tape shut the plastic clamshell it was supposed to be in. It arrived the next day as promised, but this, the THIRD chip they sent me, was sliding around in the box, with bent pins. They did however at this point they finally agreed to give me the retail packaging version for the same price, but it was out of stock and wouldn't be in for 3 more weeks. I refused to wait 3 weeks on top of the 3 weeks I'd already spent, and after my final of many 2+ hour phone calls to customer service, they upgraded to the next faster proccessor they had in stock of the retail packaging. So I finally got a amd64 3400+ when i'd only ordered a 3000+, but it took 3 weeks to get it.

Then the next time i wanted to order something, i called customer service, asked directly for the manager i'd resolved things with before, and he said i had a $100 credit still on my account, and i got an nvidia 6800ultra for the price of a 6800gt.

*shrugs* The case, the motherboard, the ram, the hard drive, the videocard, and my soundcard all came without problems.

Hope you guys have better luck, and if you dont, post your experience on resellerratings.com. Someone from newegg will call you within the week to do whatever neccessary to change your negative review.
