In a thread over on Audio Asylum the news that the old Blackburn UK factory is planning on manufacturing vacuum tubes again (currently make only cathode ray tubes). Great news for sure! But while we're waiting, their site has a fantastic film of the steps involved in making a tube (in detail!) that is a must see for anyone interested in the least bit in tubes.

OMG! I just finished checking out all the pages of their web site and they'll be unveiling their first products on Sept 19-20 at the London Sound and Vision show. ECC81, ECC 82 and ECC 83 are their first products. Is anyone interested in a new Blackburn 12AX7?!
