I've had my total bithead for several months now and it has served me great under my laptop running vista. Now that I have built a desktop with Win 7 a few issues are emerging. Whenever it is idling and nothing is running I can hear a medium pitched tone come through. If I then switch to battery mode it fixes for about 5 seconds, then a static builds up, starting at a low pitch getting higher and louder until the red overload switch is lit.

90% of the time so far has been gaming. Some games are fine, however others, like Crysis, require constant flicking between battery and usb power every few minutes to remove loud artifacts that build up.

Is this a driver issue, and are there any troubleshooting steps to solve it?

Thanks

Nevermind, turned out to be just a bad coincidence with my batteries being flat and updating to Win7. Changed them and it is now working perfectly. The odd thing is that it stopped the issues when powered via USB.
