There seems to be some interest recently over the "mod potential" (think Vinnie/Swenson) using Toshiba's entry level DVD player (SD-3990) as a CD transport or an Integrated CDP with instead of the now discontinued 3950/3960 units. I'll pick up the torch and will reveal the details in about a week in my SD-3990 web page
