I can't believe no-one mentioned my MP3 player... not even the guy that was listening to it for half the meet.

What you want is the full-powered version of my tube headphone amp, puts out 8W per side into 8ohms. I believe it cost around $130US plus shipping, and about another $40Cdn for all the parts upgrades. Oh, and $400 for me to build it and bless it with magical pixie dust.

the real question is, how much for that nice enclosure!

Helium people, liquid helium. Liquid nitrogen is so yesterday, and we all know that helium is better because it's colder and it's also a noble gas.

That's included in the $400 for building and magical pixie-dusting. After all, I do need an enclosure to keep the fairy dust in!
