I am certainly not the first one to make this simple mod but it just made my day to find a quick solution to my problem.
My STAX SR-L700 head-band was too large for my head. The solution for me was to put on a self-adhesive headband pad that I originally bought for some Sennheiser HD 215 ages ago that were just lying in my drawer. They fit perfectly.
I measured my SR-L700 mk1 headband. Measures in mm, not exact.
