Hi All, - so today I thought I’d try and find a new light headphone that’s not as dark and vailed as the HD650. I do also have a DT990 – 600 ohm, it’s great, but it’s not something you plug into a portable amp like a Fiio BTR5, if you what to take the headphones with you on the go…
Now, just so you know, I normally prefer headphones that are tuned to “diffuse field” instead of a harman like target curve.
Anyway, I spent like 3 hours today in a headphone store, listening to the SR60,80,125,225 and 325X – and a RS2e. All the above headphones were compared (A/B’ed) to a AKG 702, HD650 and a Beye T1 gen2 that I had with me.
What I could most curious was, that:
So, what are your thoughts on the SR125X?
Best regards - Thomas

What I could most curious was, that:
- all the Grados mentioned above, in general, had a sound signature very similar to the AKG 702, - Can anyone confirm this form a subjective listen?
- The SR60 and SR80 and 125 have in the same signature BUT…
- But the SR60 and SR80 do not have as extended highs, they seem to drop off at around 10 or 12k ? again, can someone confirm form listening?, as that was what I was hearing….
- The 225 and 325 and identical in sound, and compared to the lower models, don’t have a mid bass hump right? And about smoother, lower, treble?
So, what are your thoughts on the SR125X?
