Mods and members,
I thought of making of this thread to improve the listening the headphone listening experience through pc's.
As a software engineer who has also studied DSP for an year, i can say that a well implemeneted FIR filter with enough length in an EQ does not degrade the sound.

For the EQ settings that will be mentioned in this thread, use "Shibatch Super EQ" for winamp. You can use this under foobar via the "Winamp DSP Bridge Plugin".

Put the eq text mentioned hereafter in a file with extension ".eq".

40 25 2 1 1
4500 3500 -1 1 1
6500 5500 -2 1 1
8100 6900 -2 1 1

I appreciate more posts from other members regarding their EQ's.

Note:
All my EQ's are done via playing test tones through my ears for 15 minutes and writing things down on a piece of paper.
No mic used here.

How much is Shibatech EQ, and does it allow L and R channel EQ separately?

Do you have a link to the Winamp DSP Bridge Plugin?

The Shibatch EQ is free IIRC.

I wrote a parametric eq I use with foobar. It has some pretty horrific issues, and it's a 20 meg download, but it's worked so well for me that I haven't felt the need to fix any of the issues, and several others have successfully used it. It's a straight up biquad IIR implementation with a trick I found on the Net to improve how the bandwidth calculations are done.

Download links and instructions are available upon PM.
