If any of you have seen the new Jukebox from SONICblue - their first on - it would probably have been in this picture:

Ok, so this looks kinda big... THe LCD looks VERY nice. I advice you read the IGN preview which also shows a pic of the Riot being held in a hand revealing it's true size

Ok....now THIS is some serious competition for the iPod (neruda, i'm sorry, but that Treo 10 just isn't as, well, refined, IMO. do note, however, that I didn't just diss you in that thread....

what's your basis for that, man? How much do you actually know about the treo? Or are we going on looks again? :P Just so you guys know, the Treo is really tiny as well and supposedly has a 100mW headphone output (as well as a true line-out, which I would imagine is important to headphone lovers; but I can still be amazed at how apparently it isn't as long as a portable looks good).

This could be a good player, if the sound quality is better than something like the RioVolt SP-250. the 20 gigs is certainly nice, and I'll probabaly need that amount in the future if I were to get a HD-based player. I currently have about 9 gigs of MP3's on my computer, and I plan to be able to use all of that and more with a portable.

I've been keeping tabs on this product for a while. The SonicBlue webpage has the product for 400$. Street price MIGHT go lower. The riovolts seem to have been distributed well, so these should drop in price after a short while. The menus look great, very legible. I hope the sound quality is good. If it isn't, I'll just use the JMT amp I recently ordered.

Now there's the real deal! It might not be as cute 'n cuddly as some of the others on the market, but feature-wise it's got just about everything you could want!

IMO from just what I read the nomad 3 is going to give the ipod a run for its money. Personally I would never buy an audio product because it looks pretty.
