To share why i purchase A18T CIEM
I got the FIR Audio XE6 CIEM pair with sp3000ss from now around 2 years and I initially thought I wouldn’t buy any new earphones. However, the performance of the 64 Audio A18T has really blown me away!
In my journey to find the best cable to pair with the XE6, I encountered a long story. I met a fellow Head-Fi enthusiast in Hong Kong, who kindly shared a cable with me to listen to....... (you guys can listed out all the cable name?) The last pic is HORUS Jumbo
As a fan of djent, black metal, and progressive metal, I find that using the A18T brings a beautifully ordered display of all kinds of instruments right to my ears , also the soundstage is incredibly wide which i think is clear version of XE6. This experience convinced me to make the purchase, and now I’m excitedly waiting for my new CIEM!
To compare with the XE6 :
BASS:
No doubt the XE6 is beat A18T, the XE6 Kinetic Bass is unbeatable and monstrous when i listing Slipknot - Override to 04:43, i feel like my ear is shaking (No Lie) , you guys can also test your earphone.
but the bass of A18T is more clear and retractable
MIDS:
The A18T offers clarity, detail, and texture that surpasses the XE6, although the detail level and instruments position of the XE6 is quite similar to that of the A18T, but the shape and body of instruments is A18T better , never fat or thick, just natural
TREBLE
I think FIR Audio and 64 Audio are just different display types:
FIR Audio has a thicker, warmer sound, and its treble isn't as sustained as that of 64 Audio. FIR Audio tends to stop at the right place
64 audio is silky and never sibilant and tend is smashes you into the ears with comfort way, not to sweet , just natural
Problem
There are litter problem, I noticed that the artwork incurs an additional charge of approximately $97 USD per side, totaling $194 USD in Hong Kong ,Which is not free as show in website. Perhaps the $194 USD is charged by Hong Kong Dealer
Then I decided to pay the extra $194 USD for the faceplate because I plan to use it for a long time
However, the Hong Kong dealer (PSA) and @64Audio haven't replied to my email since December 23, 2024. I specifically mentioned the left and right faceplates. I wonder if @64Audio is still on their Christmas holiday or something else but nevermind, just starting to wait for the CIEM. I can't wait to get it!
I hope my faceplate displays well and meets my expectations, especially since it costs $194 USD. I'm looking forward to a great result!
Last but not least, can anyone share their custom faceplate from 64 Audio? I can't wait to see the display quality!
