Just wondering if anyone here besides Dusty Chalk knows about the wonderful forgotten early 90's band The God Machine? Some of you "dark rock" folks might dig them.. they were an interesting mix of heavy Janes Addiction-style alternative rock with a dash of industrial-like rhythms and a dark, almost goth sesibility.. They disbanded after 2 albums due to the death of their bass player Jimmy Fernandez due to a brain tumor. The singer, Robin Proper-Sheppard continued with two projects, Sophia (much lighter, almost slo-core) and The May Queens (closer to mainstream alternative rock)..

Just curious!

(ps. I know I promised to send you some Sophia/May Queens "stuff" Dusty.. I'll be taking care of you soon!)

Time's not up, but I'm guessing the answer is a great big rousing, "no!"
