Hmm, I am sure most things can be eqed, but the sub bass on the variations is substantially more than the monarch's if I remember correctly
Im so sorry to bother you this is going to be my last question: Are the vocals on the monarch as sweet as in the variations or better? And does the monarch handle rock/metal well unlike the variations

Unfortunately my memory is not good enough to give an answer with certainty, but my rough answer is yes to both your questions ^^::

149. tgxear serratus vs tgxear totem (W):

Serratus: more sub-bass, more bass, leaner mids, wider soundstage, leaner treble, clearer, better background detail, more transparent, more forward mids, better layering, a little more height.

Totem: better bass/mids/treble balance, smoother, sounds more as a whole, more natural.

Although the Serratus has the edge in technical ability, I really enjoyed the tuning and balance of the totem, and that is why it gains my preference.

151. tgxear alpha vs tgx ear totem (W):

Alpha: clearer tighter bass, slightly leaner treble, more natural, better instrument separation, sounds more as a whole.

Totem: clearer, more sub-bass, a little faster, better layering, slightly more forward mids, better imaging, smoother overall, wider soundstage, a little more height; the shells are heavier.

I felt like the alpha was quite close in sound to the totem; the totem sounds like an upgraded version of the alpha.
