For the last week or so I have used my old Technics amplifier for headphone listening. The manual rates the headphone output level/impedance at 540 mV/330 ohm. I use this amp to drive a pair of HD 598's. I think this combo sounds pretty good, maybe a bit bassy. I'm trying to learn a bit about headphone and amplifier matching,
Is this really a good or bad headphone jack technically?
Edit:Maybe I should have been a bit more specific. My questions are basically based on the specification, could one consider the headphone jack on the Technics good or bad? I understand that less ohm is usually better, and the headphones should ideally be of higher impedance than the output?
