I am looking at getting a lower end receiver just a a prelude to something greater in time. I was wondering if anyone has heard any negative things about this receiver and/or if anyone has any personal experience with them? I want to drive a DVD player and 4 M3Tis from Axiom. Would this be possible with this product? I have never purchased a receiver and don't want to go overboard until I know what I am getting myself into. If I like this sound I will stick with it and place this in my study to run from my computer and I will upgrade to a more powerful receiver later on.

Thanks in advance!

I owned one of the 1050's "ancestors", the 940. The sound quality was very good, but it was runing very hot. I have read conflicting reports about the new units - some claim that the overheating problem still exists, some say it's gone. With all the rebates going on Technics receivers, it's a hard deal to beat.
