I've had this receiver for quite some time, though about 7 years ago the right channel stopped working. I would imagen this is a simple fix. Since I'm looking to get a good receiver to use as a central source, I figure I might as well see about this one.

Has anyone used one? I don't remember how it sounds, and I also had pretty bad speakers attached to it.

Although that's a cool looking receiver, if one likes 80s Technics designs, I wouldn't recommend to invest a lot of time and/or money on repairing it. I remember the Technics receivers of that time (including the SA-310 I had myself) as ok sounding, but somewhat mushy and lacking in musical engagement, also lacking in stability with low impedance speakers and with noticable tuner crosstalk especially in combination with low efficiency headphones - sonically not really bad on the whole, but a bit flat and dull. However, of course, it might nevertheless be worth checking out, whether the problem is just something simple (for example broken/bad contact e.g. by failure of the speaker selector switches or speaker relays (if present)...).

Greetings from Munich!
