I've got a hankerin' for a new mp3 cd player that would actually be mobile -- unlike my old Pine mp3 player that sucks up batteries like there's no tomorrow.

I find myself leaning toward the Panasonic SL-CT710, but nobody seems to have one, or nobody seems to be talking about it, at least. So, somebody want to talk me out of it? Perhaps you'd like to suggest a great iRiver product or something like that?

(And don't think if I buy it you'll get some great review, because I'm pretty new at this, and, I'm told, no audiophile. I remain pretty darned pleased with my Archos Recorder Jukebox 20, I've never considered spending more than $150 on a pair of headphones, I wanna sell my old Sony D-2 just because it won't play CD-Rs, and it drives me a little crazy that now that I have a pair of Grado SR-80s I can hear every button press made by the bassoon players ...)

I too would like to know if this is any good? Digital amp and all... Most likely its there so they get more out of the batteries (and marketing), but just maybe it actually sounds good?
