Talk me into (or out of) upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S III
Oct 24, 2012 at 4:41 PM Post #16 of 20
So, using the full force of my restraint, patience, and self-control :) I went ahead and bought an S3 at the T-Mobile store.  So far, so good, much faster than my G2, and Iike Jellybean better than the Android that was running on the G2.  I've got  a screen protector on order, which will be here tomorrow, and I'll see what the battery life is like, and may buy a spare, once the phone passes its audition...

Thanks again for all the comments, and keep 'em coming, perhaps now more about usage than assessments...

Hopefully, you will test your S3 with all the USB DAC available at Music Direct.

For interworking with a USB DAC, the S3 just needs a so-called USB OTG cable, i.e. a USB cable with a micro-A plug which shall switch the S3 to USB host mode.

A list of USB DAC reportedly interworking with the S3 can be found at the following link:

I already have an GS III so I was really just looking at them for the coolness factor as they are both phones that were huge firsts so I'm not overly concerned about the OS on either if them.  I have found the N9s on ebay for reasonable prices so I might go for that as I have never owned a Meego device.  How would you compare the N9 to the 808?
