I have been looking for a budget portable interface for my iMac for some time now, I want to connect my eXStatA Electrostatic headphone amp to the computer and if possible with balanced stereo since I have built the eXStata with balanced inputs.
Till now every option looked too expensive (for a budget solution remember) but today I discovered the Swissonic Easy Firewire which is retailing at Thomannn here in germany http://www.thomann.de for € 29 ! This has to be an absolute bargain price, so I just ordered one. I'll report on it once I have tried it out.
Has anyone already discovered and used this device? Its also sold as a Phonic Firefly 202 apparently and Thomann (who are a large German Music instrument store in Germany) are rebadging them as the Swissonic Easy Firewire.
