I have gone down the rabbit hole as I need a new surge protector. I do plan to put in a Whole House Surge protector but for now I am bit lost as what to choose. Initially, I was just going to grab a Tripp-Lite or Belkin 2000+ Joules 1499 UL but then I ran into the ISOBar which I have seen mentioned on many forums. However, the feedback is, well, interesting. Some LOVE it, some say the RFI filtering negatively impacts the sound. Is it possible for a surge protector to impact sound quality?

To be clear, I am not looking for a conditioner. I just want surge protection.

I use the Tripp Lite ones because they have a coating that wears off after years of use and it turns the warning light on and stops working when it no longer has surge protection. With most models it won't tell you, or you won't notice the red light. I've had some 5-7 years and still works, but it'll stop when it's not protecting anymore.
Ideally the Cyberpower Sine wave UPS is what I put on audio equipment. It offers constant power and a 60hz wave that electronics run best with. I think the 1500w version was $120 on sale.

Where did you see the sale?

Which Tripp-Lite protectors were you using?
