Hello headfiers!
This week i got to choose between those two headphones from the main title. The main purpose will be gaming (BF4) and some electronic/chill-out music (Carbon Based LIfeforms and Stellardrone). Wich will be better for soundstage in gaming: 681 EVO or 669? Wich one has powerfull bass and best 3D like sound/positioning?
Thanks for your feedback!

I think the Samson SR850 is more comfortable to wear, as the HD681 EVO grips me a little to tightly, hurts my jaw a little.
Gave my HD681 EVOs to my nephews (the ones with the smaller heads).

I find my HD681 Evo to be uncomfortable only with extended listening sessions and while wearing my rather thick glasses. Without the glasses, they seem to be fine for me. I guess this goes to show that everyone's mileage may vary on a given issue with a given can. :)

That said, the Evo will have a bass emphasis compared to the 669 and it will have the better soundstage of the two.

How long i have to burn-in EVO to get the best/optimal sound from it and what volume? Audio source is ASUS Xonar U7.

Burn-in is extremely controversial and, as such, there is no real answer to your question. Some people believe in burn-in, many do not. What is clear is that there is a brain adjustment that occurs with a new can and that can take some indeterminate number of hours to occur. On that issue, then, it may take up to a week or more to accommodate to the new Evo, though everyone is different in this regard and YMMV. Just listen to them and see how it goes. Be patient. Give them time and you should become accustomed to them relatively quickly (mine took about a week). They are nice cans. Good luck!

I received my pair of EVO's... Man,what a sound!!! Out of the box it sounds very clear on all freq spectrum and i can conclude this headphones literally wipe the floor with all my previous gaming headsets. I'll do the burn-in for copple of days.
