I've read loads of posts about all superlux models but can't decide which one to pick for home studio mixing.
Im mostly working with rock/metal music so the mids are very important in my case, the sound should not be V shaped.
What i need is "completely" flat cans and. I can't decide which model to choose. Could you help me out with this:

HD681 (I can do the famous filter mod)
HD681B
HD668B
HD681Evo
HD330
Samson Sr850

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure about the others, but if you're mixing, scratch this one off your list - measurements show a peak in the bass and another on the in the treble. I bent the headband and the gimbals (the forks holding the earcups) to relax the grip, and the bass mellowed out. Haven't tried other earpads though but one problem with the stock pads is the opening is too small - if I wear it with my earlobes smack inside the doughnut hole it's still a bit bright and bassy even with the more relaxed fit.

That said, for casual listening it's fantastic for $40. You could probably pick up one still and just use it to check the mix (along with other headphones), but you still should get something better for doing the main monitoring tasks. I'm listening to Dream Theater on it right now, sound is tight and decay is a little bit longer than on the HD600 - although it doesn't sound boomy, as the decay naturally fades out; fast and relatively loud bass lines can still be sloppy though, even if not too loud vs the other instruments.

Thanks for your observations. So looks like 330 goes out from the list. Which one next?

I've only heard the HD330 so I can't really help you there, but like I said, for $30 don't completely take this off your list since you can use it to check your mix on a bunch of other headphones. As much as you should get the flattest response possible for monitoring and mixing, you still have to test with a host of other headphones/speakers that may be more representative of what many others are using for listening.

The best measuring can in this price range is probably the tascam th02/teac 02
