I'm looking for a pair of decent quality mono headphones. Not many to choose from, so far the choices seem to be:

- Stanton DJ PRO 2000S

- Koss PRODJ200

From specs and reviews, it looks like the Koss is the better choice. Any comments or opinions on these (or better) ones?

I also found a little gadget, the 1BUD-S2MA
http://www.scansound.com/1bud-stereo-to-mono-converter.html#
which claims to "[e]lectronically [mix] the left and right channels together" and "does not short together the audio channels". I'm a bit skeptical about this, but perhaps someone knows a little more about it.

Thanks in advance.

Buy one of these:

Any headphone will work in mono with an adapter.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, your suggestion -- a 6.35mm Mono Plug to 3.5mm Stereo Jack -- is totally unsuitable for this purpose.

I suppose I made a very poor job of explaining what I'm looking for. I want to sum (convert) the stereo signal of the headphone output of a stereo headphone amp to a mono signal, so that the same summed signal is distributed to both cups of a pair of full-sized headphones.

The TS-to-TRS adaptor you suggested is suitable for connecting a pair of stereo headphones to the output of a MONO headphone amp. It should NOT be used on a stereo (TRS) jack! (It would short one channel -- usually R -- to the ground, thus possibly damaging the output stage, and allow only one channel -- usually L -- to be heard.)
