First post, long time reader.
Ive decided on buying some ATH-A700 cans for gaming on my PC and for my iPod. So I'm asking if the ATH-A700 would benefit from being Amped? I would use them MOSTLY for gaming and on my iPod when listening to music. I know the ATH-A700 are known for having a great sound stage, which is why I'm grabbing them for gaming, now would an Amp help them at all in PC gaming or would they only benefit them, if at all, in listening to music?
If so, which kind of a starter Amp should I be looking into? I was looking at the Fiio E5 and the iBasso T4... but im really new to the whole amp thing.
Thanks for any tips, I'm using an X-Fi Xtremegamer sound card btw.
