Now that is strange. I was offered to upgrade to Win11 from 10 for free. Accepted without even thinking about sound quality, just to see, just to try. I went to youtube and started listening to my songs as usual, and it really seems like there is more clarity to the sound. Anyone experienced this ?

Been using Windows 11 for a while now, and there have been no sound improvements coming from windows 10. I normally avoid using windows in general while streaming music, and I instead opt for a stand alone streamer (currently a Wiim Pro).

I use Win 11 USB out to my FiiO DAC,
with “Exclusive” mode in Tidal. My understanding is that this bypasses the Windows sound card drivers altogether.

did you use the same browser as before?

Chrome (Chromium based browsers) VS Firefox will process audio differently.....

Chrome upsamples ITSELF instead of using the windows resampling algorithm
where
Firefox plays native samplerate and windows upsamples

im actually not sure which is better for windows machines, with Linux and high quality resampling with pipewire i prefer the native playback from Firefox..... tho it could be possible that chrome actually offers better resampling than Windows, try it :)
