Hi all,

I've used many headphones along my search for the ultimate sound quality, latest ones where Denon D7200 which sold few months ago and replaced with the Sony Z1R.

First, they look amazing and build quality is the best I've experienced.
But.. the sound in the first few hours is terrible(!). It is not accurate, right side is missing some highs & lows and i'm trying to replace them now with Sony customer support since it might be a problem but as i read more about them, i hear that more people complains about the inaccuracy and more bad reviews are all over.

Now, it might be also another issue of matching between the cables and headphones amp and for that i appreciate any tip here. I'm using -
- PC Laptop as player
- USB cable connector of Tellurium Q Black II (incredible cable)
- Sony Z1R default headphones cable
- Musical Fidelity M1 HPAp Headphones Amp.

So, any tip of setup changes is welcome!

Thanks

I'd try swapping the connector at the headphones to see if your audio complaint goes to the other ear.

I am also trying to decide between the Sony z1r and the Denon 9200 headphones. I want to run them through either a Schiit Modius, Magius and Lokious set up or a Jojentheim 2 (with the good built in DAC) and a Lokious. Any comments about which headphones would better would be deeply appreciated. Any additional comments as to which set up or if you recommend something else would be appreciated as well.
