I have SONY XBA-N3AP as well as XBA-N3BP.

My question: Is there anyway to differentiate between AP and BP models of XBA-N3? I had put similar cable in both and now don’t know which one is AP and which one is BP. The reason I would like to know is that XBA-N3AP has impedance of 16ohm whereas XBA-N3BP has 32ohm as its impedance.

Thanks!

Hello dear friend.
Great user of Sony XBA-N3 iems here, using a pair for more than five years, and also have two brand new ones as reservation for the future.
Best iem ever produced, and i also have their bigger brothers, the IER-Z1R.
Concerning your qustion now. There is no differences with XBA-N3 AP or BP. The BP version, differs from the AP version, once it is provided with a balanced cable. Nothing else, ok.
The iems themselves are exactly the same.
There is something you can do to your iems, in order to make them so great, you won't believe the upgrade once you listen.
Get yourself the JVC Spiral DOT ++ eartips, and if you have the skills, take the internal foams out, cut them in half, and put only the halfs inside of each again.
You'll be blown away.
Also if possible for you, update them with the Meze Audio Penta Cable and go straight for 4.4mm conector, in order to allow you to use them in balanced audio only. They will shine like nothing.
Some pictures for you to see.
Which device you use to listen to them?
