Hello,

Last night I noticed that the right earpiece of my XBA-40 no longer forms a seal/vacuum with my ear canal. It won't seal on any(one's) ear, while the left earpiece seals fine on my right ear. I've tried many different combinations of earbuds to no avail. I can't see any visible defect with the right earpiece, though makes a faint scratchy sound when squeezed even since it's stopped sealing.

Suddenly being unable to form a seal has never happened to me on the many IEM's I've owned. Are my XBA-40s permanently broken? Has the sealed enclosure for the BAs ruptured, making a seal impossible? Does that even make sense, given that DDs are vented yet still form seals?

I've had the XBA-40 for ~10mo and have absolutely loved them (with the right source). Would really not like to have to buy a replacement...

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!
