It's always a bit funny to post new threads about what some would consider unworthy to even touch barehand, without at least wearing anti-audiophile gloves to prevent the spread of a low-fi infection.
But this is not low-fi at all. It is on the higher end of mid-fi. Sounds very good. A little bassy, smooth but articulate, exactly what you would expect from a good sony product. It works with 2 AAA batteries, can program 10 FM stations, 5 AM stations, with some other features that I dont care about like a chrono, clock, lock, weather channel. What surprised me a bit, is that it drives a Sennheiser HD250 600 ohms with plenty of power, way enough to not crank the volume all the way up. But this headphone gets driven by everything despite its higher impedance. Good news still. Another positive mention, well, isn't analog? There is no DAC here, just the radio signal amplified. Can be find for about $30 US on ebay. There is many available. I recommend! I like this radio a lot. I used to have one for years.
