When I read about the ES line of Sony cdps, I sometimes hear comments about a particular "house sound", that all the ES sources share. What does this "house sound" sound like?

And no wisecracks about houses not being able to make sounds...

I keep thinking of that often-used sample that goes "This is the sound... This is the sound... This is the sound... of house... house... house... house...music"

I don't think Sonys have a house sound. They all sound pretty different from each other. I listened to a well burned in 333ES, my 9000ES, and a well burned in SCD-1, and they all sound quite different. The 333ES and SCD-1 sounded "closer" to each other than the 9000ES did to either one.

taoster, I heard the XA777ES is a different beast as well. Point being, I don't think Sony has a set in cement house sound.
