Hi everyone,

Well i sold my HD1, HD3, HD5 a few months back to fund the purchase of the Sony X series.

Well that was a mistake because to my ears the HD1 sounded better...
Anyway i sold my X a while back and ever since have been contemplating what player to buy.

I came to the conclusion that OLED screens, album art, wifi etc etc are things that are nice to have, but in the end its all about the SQ.
To that end i have managed to find a brand new NW-HD1

My only question is does the HD1 support WAV files natively. In other words do I need to convert them to ATRAC3Plus?

Many thanks

Im getting a bit frustrated now!

I have converted my wav files to Atrac advanced lossless (average file size is around 50mb), but when i transfer the files using sonic stage to the HD1 the file size gets shrunk to around 10mb and the properties of the file shows atrac3plus 256...No lossless...
What's going on?

I'd appreciate any pointers please!

Thankyou :)

Yes! But read the 6 footnote!

"6. Supports unsecure files with conversion to ATRAC3 format."
