been a while since i posted here........

any way. as title. any one had any experience with either of these earphones?

i remember the higher end ex700SL got mixed reactions. some great, some a bit shabby.

then when these lower end ones were announced, the 300/500's, people hoped they would improve them some how. is this the case?

and these MDR-XB40EX, never seen them, must be quite new i take it. but damn they are one sexy earphone

so, any opinions? i know not to expect amazing SQ since the new age sony earphones arent the greatest. just want opinions if any one can share.

i have a pair of the ex500lp (sl short cable lp long cable) and they not bad very warm sounding thoughbut they the only sonys i have so cant compare to the other u mention
