Hello all,

I just acquired a Sony Discman D-E307CK. it is brand new but The set came without a remote control unit.
as the discman can accomodate a remote control I would like to know if anybody knows which Sony remote control unit would be compatible to with this particular Sony Discman model.
I did extensive research on the net but I couldn't find any relevant info.
I am hoping that maybe I could source this info on this forum.

Thank you.

Thank you for your input pbul44.
I have seen some Sony RM-MC26 and MC27 that might fit just by looking at jack and pins combo ( looks similar to the RM-CD6 jack and pins combo)
I guess the only way to find out for sure is to buy one and physicaly see if it will fit.
I hoping that somebody on the forum would have that discman model with a remote that works for it

Were you able to determine what remote control setup will work with D-E307CK ? Also what do you think of that Discman model ? Thanks!

Good job at resurrecting an old thread!

My experience (I had a couple of the very thin, metal discmans - still have one) was that plugging in one of those remotes greatly increased the noise level of the discman. Something about the display and internals just put a layer of noise on top of the signal that I couldn't tolerate. The remotes also had a habit of going bad in a relatively short time.

Ahh, good to know, thanks. How about the sound / build quality without the remote connected ?

It's absolutely excellent.

That said, I left the discman and any CD player long ago. Nothing beats a quality DAC and FLAC files. As a matter of fact, my now old Samsung S10 still sounds better (playing full or hi-res FLAC) than every discman I ever heard. I can also immediately tell the difference between FLAC and mp3, just with the phone. So, even with portables - there's no excuse to keep using a CD player, unless you're attracted to the nostalgia. Sorry if that sounds harsh ... just trying to be factual.
