Hi all,
After reading many reviews, I bought the Maximo im590s a couple of years ago as my first >$30 earphones. I had them replaced twice within a year due to cabling kinks and breakage. On the third pair, the casing came apart after several months (and the left one now sounds muffled), so I decided to try something new. I don't put earphones under a lot of stress - mostly I use them while on my laptop, but I'll go running with them once in a while - so I was surprised that they didn't hold up.
To replace the 590s, I bought the Thinksound ts02s. While they didn't seem quite as crisp/clear as the 590s, they seemed balanced enough, they were fun to listen to, and they held up with no issues...but now I can't find them. I looked everywhere I could in my tiny apartment, car, and clothing. It's been a week and they haven't turned up, so I've decided to buy a new pair.
I'm looking for earphones in the $40-$70 range, and I'm thinking of buying something that has a similar sound as the im590s, although I did like the ts02's sound and construction. Would the Rain earphones be a good in-between? I'd appreciate any thoughts on the Rain or any other suggestions you all might have. Thanks!
