Oi, I'd like to know if anyone knows of online stores that carry the NAD C521i or the NAD C521BEE, either refurbished or new, preferrably refurb for the cheapy factor. =P

Not looking for eBay or current head-fi'ers selling either of these units; it has to be something that's going to hang around long enough for me to get the dough! (Which'll be sometime next month.)

Oh, and what's the difference between the two?

The difference is that the 521i is a cd player and the 532BEE is an amplifier. It's surprising to me that you would be looking to purchase something you know so little about. You should be able to find them in a local hi-fi shop to audition... that may be a good next step before you open your wallet?

I think you'll find that the 521i and 521BEE are both CD players.

The 521BEE is slightly tweaked on the earlier 521i (and the one I have). If it helps this review was one I read before purchasing.

So the tone of the first reply is a little uncalled for and not what I'd expect of a Head-Fi member, tut-tut.

If these CD players are anything like my NAD C541i, they are probably pretty nice stuff.

I'm thinking to get a C521i. When I get paid again that is. =P

For those that wonder what the BEE stands for :

As an excellent example of Bjorn Erik Edvardsen’s* “10/10 Rule”, we have added Erik’s initials to our “Best Buy” CD Player, the C521. Erik’s 10/10
Rule states that the ideal for high value products is achieved when it costs 10 times more money to get only a 10% increase in performance. While some
people will gladly spend to get that last gram of musical pleasure, for the vast majority of music lovers the C521BEE offers that sweet spot where spending
less gets a lot less, and spending more gets only a small incremental improvement.
