Hey everyone,

Recently purchased some HD598's and I'm looking for some amp opinions/options/experiences. I really like the no frills approach and cost of the Schiit audio gear, in particular the modi magni combo or substituting in the vali amp (This would be my preference). My question for you guys is, will the 50 ohm impedance of the hd598's have trouble with the hiss...hum... etc associated with tube hybrid/powered amps. Also, always open to alternatives to any of these products.

As for background, I'm an active musician and swear by tube amplification, love the tonal qualities. though I know that's different from Hifi applications, I do understand it can change the tone.

thanks for any feedback!

I think it comes down to basically you like tubes, so go for the Vali.

I would assume if you had an issue with tube hiss, you would have stopped buying tube amps a long time ago.
