I have used the ge 5654 tubes, which come standard, but upgraded to the ge jan5654w driver tubes, and were EXTREMELY impressed! Which was even better, I should say, MUCH BETTER, probably the best I've used, is the Siemens 6ak5w tubes, which are the best I've used, bar none! If you own the little dot mk3 tube amp, and want audio nirvana, you know what tube to get.
