Hello, I was wondering if the Hi Fi forum can give me some suggestions on new headphones.

My Sony MDR-200 broke after about 4 years of faithful service. I'm not really an audio nut but I do like good quality products. I was in the market for new headphones and decided to get ;

Shure 440. They are great in mids and highs but I found out that the bass is really lacking. I don't use an amp and they usually are connected to my PC / TV.

I do a lot of gaming and bass is needed. Any suggestions? I also own the Shure E2C and they are great in ear buds. Love them.

I was thinking of the Denon AH-1000 or maybe Shen HD280. Is there any headphones out there that is as good as the SHR440 but also have good bass?

What about the Sony Extra bass headphones, tho they look so big and heavy.

Thank you for reading this.

Possibly consider the ATH-M50 in that same SRH440 price range for more bass, but also you'd probably want to post this in the full size Headphones section

I second the ATH-M50. Of the full-sized closed-backs I've heard, they're some of my favorites. You might also consider the M-Audio Q40, although I've personally had comfort issues with them.

Hey, is there anywhere the mods can move this to the full headphone sections?

Would the ATH-M50s be a better choice than the Sony MDRXB 700 ? Both are pretty much in the same range of 200 dollar Canadian.

I wish, the Shure SHR440 had a better bass response, they were comfortable and great at sound isolation.

Can a mod please move this into the Full Headphones section? How do I message a mod about that?

I'm going to test out the M50 today , plus the Sony Extra Bass 700's.

I'm so disappointed, I love Shure so much but the lack of Bass is really getting to me. I'm just a bass head, for the average listener, Shure SHR440 are really a great set of can's for the price.

went as low as 18hz with great quantity.

But not such impressive quality. I recommend saving up a bit for SRH750 DJ.
