Hi everyone.
My XB700 isn't bassy, at all. Not sure if I got ripped off with a fake one. Also not sure if it got worse over the few years I've had it.
Some VERY heavy EQ on my phone helps and makes it sound pretty nice and bassy. But the bass still isn't very "punchy", sort of underpowered.
Am I expecting too much from them?? (I don't have any other "extra bass" cans to compare them to)
This post recommends removing the paper backing from the drivers: http://moneyexpertsteam.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/how-to-mod-sony-mdr-xb700-headphones.html
Should I try that?
Or anything else I should try? I'd really rather not risk ruining them, especially since they are discontinued. :/
Do you think it's reversible?
Thanks!
