Should I leave my headphones plugged into my audio interface?

I connect my sennheiser 598 se headphone to my pc via my focusrite 2i2 audio interface. I also connect a pair of speakers to my audio interface, and I use the speakers for most of my music. But I do occasionally switch to the headphones.

My question is: should I leave my headphones plugged in to the audio interface? Or should I unplug them when I'm not using them, and plug them in when I'm using them? When the headphones are plugged into the audio interface, music plays on them, even if I'm also playing music on the speakers (I haven't figured out a way to stop music from playing on the headphones while plugged in).

When you are listening to your speakers, is the volume too loud for your headphone?
If yes, then you should remove it because it will potentially damage the driver.
If no, then just leave it there. It can help to seize the driver :)
