Hi to all, new poster here. I’m wondering if anyone can offer me some help.
I recently purchased my 1st DAP. Shanling M3X.
Fantasic so far apart from when I’m casting using chromecast audio to my amp.
After several minutes of playing I lose connection and the sound will just cut off.
I tried a lot of things and realised it happens shortly after the screen goes to sleep, so I chose 30 minutes which is the maximum setting, it does not have a leave on setting. This then fixes the problem but once the screen goes off, it loses connection a little while later. I ended up downloading a ‘leave screen on’ app which fixes it but drains the battery more, and isn’t really something I want to use.
I feel like I’ve answered my own question a little but I just want to know is this normal? I’m thinking for a music player it should still be able to function 100% when the screen is off. Bluetooth is fine so it just seems to be a problem with chromecast. Maybe it’s not as supported as it used to be?
This is my 1st android device so I’m not a used to how these things work, or whether my device has a fault.
