I noticed something curious recently whilst testing out razer surround in dishonored as well as listening to a 3d audio 9th symphony recording on youtube.
It seams as though my cheap Panasonic (RP-???120) In Ears are doing a better job at delivering forward depth cues than my Beyer Dynamic Dtx 710's.
I mentioned this to a friend who has sampled more headphones than I in his time including some high end Sennheiser's and Audeze and his experience proved similar to mine.
The stage is certainly wider and more detailed with the over ear dtx 710's but there is definetly a better sense of evenly spaced and forward depth surround with the in ear panasonics.
Anyone else notice something similar?
