Dear all,

I am sorry if this has been asked before; if so, I would appreciate it if you could direct me to the thread -- I did a search, but as I am new on the forum, I doubt my skills are up to par with the regulars.

That being said, I have two Sennheiser RS 120 radio base stations, but the HDR 120's have both suffered too many blows in the hands of my kids (3-8 y old now, the latest was the least gentle with them and finished off what the two previous started) during the last 3-4 years or so that I have had the headphones.

Now that the kids are bigger and keep even more noice with their friends when they come over. While I am at the computer playing, for which the headphones are just fine, I would prefer a closed set instead of the open, and thus have been thinking of getting the HDR 140 headphones. The thing is, that I really wouldn't need the radio base stations IF the ones from the RS 120 work with the headphones -- I asked a local store to find out, and got a cryptic "you will be able to hear the sound, but they won't be compatible" answer, which, erhm, sounded strange to me -- as in if the sound comes, that'd by my book mean that they are compatible...

If anyone has any insight on this, whether the quality is lower (for what reason?) or whether there would be other problems, I would appreciate any info you can give me.

Thanks in advance for any answers,

Kai
