Hello, this may be a foolish and stupid question. But I'm wondering if it's okay to buy two headphones from Sennheiser to see which one I like better. And keep the one I like better, and return the other one.

Here's what it says on there page-

REFUNDS

SEC will only provide refunds to customers that have purchased product directly from SEC within 30 days from the date of purchase. Customers that purchased product from a Sennheiser distributor/vendor seeking a refund will have to request reimbursement from the original distributor/vendor.

I think I would purchase through Amazon. They have a rather liberal return policy. Just don't abuse it.

There was a guy 3-4 weeks ago who said he bought, tried and returned headphones ~25-26 times (something like that) through Amazons generous return policy.  They eventually caught onto what he was doing and terminated his membership.  IIRC he tried to create a new account and was denied.  He was blatantly abusing the policy, using merchandise on their dollar.

I remember that. Crazy. I think he even said he couldn't find a headphone he liked!

Wow, guess I better not do it then. Didn't think it'd be that big of a deal, I definitely wouldn't have a problem paying for the return shipping.

Don't worry, Wolf. It's not like you're going to buy dozens of headphones and try returning them all. One or two returns is fine. If you buy from an Amazon seller that has fulfillment by Amazon, it's more likely that they will cover your return shipping.

Well... I mean there is buyer protection and then theres just blatant abuse of the system.  A few returns I would think is OK... but ~25 times, thats over the limit.  I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Yea, I suppose. Just to make sure though I called up Amazon's customer service and the lady told me it's fine as long as the item is in it's original condition and returned within the 30 day refund policy. If it's after that then she said I'll only receive 80% of the items price.

I've returned a few headphones to Amazon. Just be sure to buy from Amazon or Fulfilled by Amazon, not 3rd party sellers that do their own shipping (then you are subject to their return policies). But I have also bought a good bit more from them than I have returned (as well as tons of other gear). So I do agree not to abuse their policy.
