Hi, my HD600 right driver has dead.
I've seen Sennheiser sells replacement drivers, exactly this :

Retail 2002

But the question is:

should i replace both?

The left driver i think is still perfect, but is about 4 years old.
May i have drivers matching problems if i change only one driver?

I'm sad, i loved my HD600 (as my RS-1, as my D5000, as all of my headphones...)

You should be OK. I replaced a single driver element on a 6 year old HD580 a few years ago and they matched perfectly. That's when I realized that this 'break-in" stuff was a bunch of hooey. I think Sennheiser drivers are pretty consistent.

Thanks for the answer, Beagle.

Anybody knows if there is an email address to ask Sennheiser this kind of technical questions? Who can give a better answer than the headphone producer?

However, any other headfier direct experience will be very appreciated.

I'm also running one newer hd650 driver and I can't tell the difference between the old and the new one.

If you have the newer silver screened drivers I don't think it will matter.

Thanks, this is another good opinion.
It makes me feel better that probably i don't need to change both drivers, they are certainly not for free.

I already contacted the Sennheiser distributor here in Italy, they have the spare drivers.

About the silver screened driver, this is actually how the survived driver looks like, it seems silver as you say:
