hey andy
I guess I would be one of very few owners of that particular senn`s model among the people from this forum, so I could tell you something about them. I like eh2200 overall very much. They sound nice, but ONLY after properly burned in. Very light and comfy, easily driven loud enough by just about any source. I use them at home for bed time listening exclusively and they are perfect for that. No problem to fall asleep with them on. Not sure how would they perform outdors because they actually DO NOT block out outside noise. At low volumes you will be able to hear a lot form the outside world. At higher volumes you do get isolated, but the sound lekage also increases a bit. Most of my music sound very fresh and enjoyable with these headphones, especially the latest productions of electro music. The sound is detailed, higs are just a bit undefined, mids sound the best, bass could be stronger and deeper, but fits my needs for now. More experienced people from headphone.com found them "an OK sounding headphones, given the low price, but quite bright". If these are to be your first headphones, chances are you will probably like them. More info about eh2200 from me at headwize.com.. If you`re situated in the US, you might consider the sony V6, which are very favorable at this forum for that price range. Or you could go for the beyer`s dt250-80 for some more $$...Or you should just wait for some real audiophile`s advice
