OK, ppl may laugh at me trying listen to decent music with only $50.

But, yeah, I only have around $50 to spend.

Chaintech used to be poor ppl's best choice but they discontinued for a long time. So, what is the best budget card on market now?

PCI/ PCI-e/ USB are all acceptable.

There's still a chaintech on eBay. It's expensive compared to what the chaintech retailed for, but it's still a good deal.

The Chaintech uses a line out for the back surr. If you plan to use headphones, you need an amp.

Yes, I do have an $100 amp, that's why I don't have enough money to buy an expansive card.

If I were you, I would just go with the Chaintech av-710. Has lots of support on the forum. You can probably build the Alien DAC usb for around $50.
