As great of a deal as that is, i've heard a LOT of negative reviews on the seagate freeagent externals. Many have had problems with the internal circuitry crapping out or other various things causing it to not work.

Which internal circuitry are you talking about? That of the harddisk or that relating to the casing?

related to the casing, not the hard drive itself. Seagate is my favorite hard drive company, but they really screwed up on their new line of externals.

edit: actually, they might have fixed all of them. Newegg just recently updated all of the freeagent models and they have gotten good reviews.
