Hey guys,

I've been out of the loop for most the recent stuff and I can't even catch it up with that a lot of options.

I just want something warmish and analog like the old Sansa Clip+ with amazing EQ support like when you install rockbox. Seriously, I'm trying to EQ with the stock EQ from my phone and it's incrible how worse it is compared to the old sansa.

FWIW I got a chance to try the SMSL Idea but I've found it a bit lean and brightish, so I wouldn't like something like that. I hear it's because SABREs chips tend to sound like that, but, might it's just implementation for this particular case.

Sabre chips do have a common flavor if you try various devices sporting them, and I'll never ever be a fan of their sound.
